Sending terms

Communication and contact-data terms.

Effective date: May 8, 2026. These Sending Terms govern briefing requests, newsletter subscriptions, business-introduction requests, contact forms, and related communications submitted to Understudy Cloud (“Understudy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They are written to be read, not hidden: by submitting a request, you consent to the uses described below.

1. Communications you may receive

You authorize Understudy to contact you using the email address and business information you provide. Communications may include requested briefing responses, administrative follow-up, service information, operational notes, event or publication notices, business-development communications, and other messages reasonably related to Understudy’s private operating-office work.

2. Contact information we collect

We may collect your email address, name, company, source page, approximate technical metadata such as hashed IP information, user-agent information, timestamps, and the substance of any request you choose to send. Do not submit confidential client information, regulated personal information, secrets, credentials, or information you are not authorized to provide.

3. Use of contact information

We may use submitted contact information to respond to you, maintain a briefing list, manage prospective-client records, improve our operations, prevent abuse, comply with law, and conduct ordinary business-development activity. We may also segment, tag, suppress, deduplicate, or enrich business-contact records using lawful internal or vendor-supported processes.

4. Service providers, affiliates, and selected business partners

We may disclose contact information to vendors, contractors, infrastructure providers, email-delivery services, CRM systems, analytics providers, advisors, affiliates, successors, acquirers, and selected business partners where reasonably related to communications, operations, diligence, business development, or administration. If we ever offer a third-party sponsored mailing, partner introduction, list transfer, sale, rental, licensing, or similar commercial use of briefing-list contact information, we will do so only where permitted by applicable law and with notice or consent where required. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.

5. No guarantee of engagement

Submitting a request does not create a client relationship, fiduciary duty, exclusivity, confidentiality obligation, partnership, employment relationship, or obligation for Understudy to respond. Any actual client work requires separate written terms accepted by Understudy.

6. Opt-out and suppression

You may request removal from non-transactional communications by replying to an Understudy email or contacting us through the same address used for the briefing request. We may retain suppression records, security logs, and legal compliance records to honor opt-outs and protect the service.

7. Accuracy and authority

You represent that the information you submit is accurate, that you control or are authorized to use the submitted email address, and that your submission does not violate obligations owed to an employer, client, counterparty, or other person.

8. Changes

We may update these Sending Terms from time to time. The version posted on this page governs new submissions made after posting. Material changes will not retroactively remove opt-out rights or other legally required protections.

9. Plain-English summary

By checking the box, you agree that Understudy may email you about your request and related business communications; may use common vendors and business systems to manage those communications; may share contact information in ordinary business contexts described above; and will honor opt-out requests for marketing messages.
